Gamania Group Expands Cybersecurity Opportunities in Southeast Asia: DIGICENTRE’s HyperG Signed Agreement with VIETCONNECT

Digital transformation has become a global trend; as companies make enormous investments in IT infrastructures, they are also facing increasing cybersecurity challenges. HyperG, a subsidiary of DIGICENTRE, offers “appGuard,” a mobile security solution certified with Common Criteria EAL2, an international cybersecurity standard. “appGuard” protects apps through data and code encryption, prevention of dynamic memory loading, and hacker tool detection.
In Taiwan, “appGuard” has a diverse client base across industries such as gaming, retail, and mobile payments, with a market share exceeding 50% in the financial sector which requires high cybersecurity. The product has also expanded into international markets, including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia. Recognizing the growth potential of digital transformation in the Southeast Asia market, HyperG announced a distribution partnership with Vietnam’s leading IT company, VIETCONNECT, in July this year.

HyperG, a subsidiary of DIGICENTRE, signed a partnership with Vietnam’s leading IT company, VIETCONNECT.

According to the "2024 Vietnam and Asia Digital Transformation Summit," the digital economy in Vietnam contributes to a 20% annual increase in GDP. The local government is actively promoting industrial digitization, and the adoption of smart devices has reached 70% among citizens. The rise of service and financial apps in recent years has also driven high usage rates of electronic payments while the Vietnamese government increasingly focusing on cybersecurity.
Starting from July this year, new regulations require biometric verification, such as Face ID, for online financial transactions exceeding VND 10 million (approximately NTD 13,000). It highlights the growing awareness of cybersecurity in the Vietnamese market.
With the distribution partnership, HyperG recognizes VIETCONNECT’s strong relationships with major local financial institutions, including Vingroup, TPBank, and VPBank. Through the implementation of “appGuard” technology, the partnership aims to provide a safer and more convenient digital environment.
